Embedded within the ring are two microphones, a speaker, a battery, a Bluetooth 5.0 wireless antenna, and a Piezo haptic feedback module.
When you press the action button on the rear of the band, it activates the microphones, which you then use to communicate with Alexa. After you issue your command, Alexa will respond, as she does via similar devices, using the built-in speaker.
